I am a highly experienced child protection social worker with over twenty years of dedicated service supporting vulnerable children and families. Throughout my career, I have worked across frontline and statutory settings, building a strong reputation for sound judgment, resilience, and child-centred practice in complex and high-risk situations.

In addition to extensive direct practice experience, I have held a range of management roles, providing leadership, supervision, and strategic oversight to support teams in delivering high-quality, ethical, and legally robust interventions.

Prior to working in children’s services , I was a civil servant supporting vulnerable adults accessing state benefits, giving me a strong grounding in welfare systems, advocacy, and social justice.

I am deeply empathetic to the challenges facing families both within local communities and across the wider world, and I possess strong communication skills that enable me to build trust, explain complex issues clearly, and work effectively with children, families, and multi-agency partners. More recently, I have also been involved in residential childcare, further broadening my experience and strengthening your understanding of the day-to-day care, safeguarding, and emotional needs of children living in residential settings.
